Fair: FAKUMA (Friedrichshafen)
The 25th FAKUMA ended with impressive numbers such as 1889 exhibitors and 48,375 expert visitors, a huge success that proves the weight of this fair for the plastics and rubber supply chain. Like hardly any other trade fair, FAKUMA represents the development of German, European and, in the end, global plastics technology. ML Engraving took part to this exhibition for the first time, showing its laser technology and the results of the INFINITE process. In addition, ML Engraving introduced 2 more European projects in which it is involved as technological partner. The results of the INFINITE process (Raptor software + machine) have caught the attention of the many visitors, who need accuracy, flexibility and rapidity in order to be more competitive in the international market. INFINITE is definitively the technology of the future.

Fair: FIP (Lyon)
FIP Solution Plastique ended on Friday 16th after 4 days of busy work on ML ENGRAVING booth. It’s been a new and challenging experience and the quality of visitors met during the show was remarkable: focused on the advantages of the technology, curious about new applications and interested to learn more about the project and HORIZON 2020 programme. As it The test plates of the INFINITE machine displayed caught the attention of the many visitors who came into the stand. The plates showed different textures engraved with the revolutionary process and anthropomorphic robot machine. Take a look to the pictures.

Fair: MECSPE (Parma)
In March 2017, ML ENGRAVING took part in the 16th edition of MECSPE, Italian fair dedicated to mechanics, mechatronics and subcontractors. With its 45,817 visitors and 2,051 exhibitors, MECSPE confirms itself as a point of reference for the manufacturer industry and Digital Factory 4.0. MECSPE is divided in thematic districts: from logistics to additive manufacturing, from surface treatments to plastics supply chain. During the 3-days show ML Engraving exhibited its best projects, the new Texture Collection – a catalogue and the first results of its new machine INFINITE. Visitors where very impressed by the importance of the project and appreciated the fact that ML Engraving is developing its own technology in partnership with DS4.
10-11 October 2016
On October 10-11 representatives of more than 400 excellent SMEs came together in Brussels in order to meet international investors, senior executive managers and technologically innovative entrepreneurs, during the SME Instrument Innovators Summit, a 2 days of workshops, pitching sessions and matching, dedicated to the development of high-technology projects. ML Engraving, leader in 3D laser engraving and winner of the 1st and 2nd phases of SME Instrument, took part to this event. Issues of enormous interest have been raised during the thematic workshops, like modes to expand the business in new markets: China, USA, Middle East and SEA.

Industrial Technologies is an important event that gathers centres of excellence, research centres, universities and highly specialised companies to discuss technological progress. With an agenda filled with meetings, workshops and special issue sessions, this appointment in important on an international scale. Participation at this event was sponsored by the European Union. At SME Champion it was possible to display our innovations in a RAI area. In addition to the visibility provided by the exhibition space, the SMEs met Antonio Vincente, European Commissioner, directly involved in the commission for evaluating projects. ML Engraving also participated in a workshop on Friday, dedicated to the SME Instrument, and presented its INFINITE project. ML Engraving was selected as a guest speaker as winner of both Phase 1 and Phase 2.

In June 2016, DS4, technological partner of INFINITE took part to the 7th edition of AUTOMATICA, the leading fair in the world of industrial automation and mechatronics with 839 exhibitors from 47 Countries and more than 45.000 visitors. DS4 introduced the INFINITE project and got many enthusiastic feedbacks from visitors and clients. AUTOMATICA is the platform where specialists and executives in all branches of industry gather information about the latest developments in production processes to cut costs and improve quality. This fair gathers the world's largest range of robotics, integrated assembly solutions and machine-vision solutions. There are six exhibition halls dedicated to the various main categories, covering everything from sensor technology and drive technology to supply technology and positioning systems.

Conference: SME INSTRUMENT : un approccio integrato a supporto dell’impresa - SIMPLER (Milano)
The Consortium was invited to contribute its own experience as a positive testimonial following the presentation of the activities and the new opportunities opened by the SME Instrument for the 2016-17 period. In particular this appointment was used to discuss the figure of the Coach who assists companies in European projects. ML Engraving, as project coordinator, was able to recount its collaboration experience with these professionals both of the three phase 1 days and the 12 days of phase 2. The occasion was used to speak about the INFINITE project, and the initial results of the design phases which were under way during the period. Participants at the meeting included the engineer Franco Malena, who is the first Italian citizen to go into space as an astronaut.

Convention: Le PMI e l’Europa - Confartigianato Bergamo (Bergamo)
The 28th Organisational Conference of Confartigianato Bergamo was held aimed at an opening towards Europe and the opportunities it offers to Italian companies. ML Engraving participated in the event, as an associate company and project manager, and presented the INFINITE project with which it was awarded the financing of the Horizon 2020 tender. Guest speakers who were present included the former vice president of the European Commission Henning Christophersen. ML Engraving was represented by its Chairman and CEO Andrea Lodetti, who talked about the company and introduced the INFINITE project, explaining the current status of laser technology to those present when applied to the world of surface finishing. The market for these applications was described, as well as the traditional technologies that laser intends to replace.

Convention: L’impresa coltiva talenti - CONFINDUSTRIA (Milano)
During the important event held in Milan, the topic of Horizon 2020 was discussed, with a convention dedicated to the bridge between higher education and work. Various speakers gave presentations to tell of their experiences as enterprises involved in research and innovation addressed to young people and researchers. The works were coordinated by Andrea Bairati (Confindustria) who alternated the speeches by companies and researchers with the comments of Diana Bracco, VP of Confindustria for R&I, Francesco Luccisano, Head technical secretariat of Muir, and Angelo Riccaboni, President of the Fondazione Crui.
